We Love Our Military

Did you know that the Navarre area has been ranked as one of the most military friendly communities in the country? Our state is blessed to have 20 active-duty military installations and great training and testing ranges, several right here in our community.

The Chamber’s Military & Veteran Affairs Committee works to promote communication and interaction between the military and the businesses of the Navarre Beach area. It is our goal to make all service members, past and present, and their families feel welcome in Navarre and Santa Rosa County, whether you are just here for a visit or have made it your home.

If you and/or your business/organization is interested in being part of the Navarre Chamber's Military & Veteran Affairs Committee, we invite you to join us on the first Monday of each month at 11:30 am in the Ira Mae Hewatt Bruce Conference Room at The Navarre Chamber Information Center at 1804 Prado Street.

Veterans Service Center

Santa Rosa County's Veterans Services office (850-981-7155) assists veterans and their families for benefits they may be entitled to including:

Initial claims for benefits (disability and pension)
Increases in service-connected disability benefits
Death benefits
Education benefits
VA Guaranteed Home Loan application
Life insurance information
Property tax information for service-connected disabled veterans

Volunteer and Giving

1 - Volunteer! Lend a helping hand.

2 - Give back! Donate to an organization that serves veterans. CharityNavigator, an organization that evaluates charities, offers a list of highly rated military and veterans organizations.

3 - Give them a break. Business owners can offer a special service to veterans - a free cup of coffee or dessert, an additional discount, a complimentary upgrade, or a free consultation.

4 - Santa Rosa County Animal Services offers veterans a special deal year-round! Operation Furever Freedom is a program designed to provide veterans, active-duty military, reservists, and National Guardsmen with up to two pets, all fees waived. Military dependents are eligible for reduced rates. An active ID or DD 214 card must be provided. Call 850-983-4680 for more information.
